FAQs

How long does it take to set-up / move the keyholding service?
A matter of days dependant on current arrangements which we can discuss on enquiry. It is a simple, straightforward process with which we are happy to assist with.
Some companies have monitoring, 'red care', 'dualcom' and/or CCTV, do they still need keyholders?
YES, a keyholder will be required to attend the premises, deal with all eventualities which could include broken windows and locks, wait for an engineer and reset the alarm as necessary. None attendance could have a detrimental effect on insurance and policing terms.
How much does it cost?
Prices are available on request as we can offer fully comprehensive packages which include limited calls outs. Specialised pricing such as a commercial and residential property for a reduced fees are also available.
Do you look after commercial and Residential properties?
Yes. Restaurants, offices, shops, schools to name a few can all benefit from our response service as well as residential and commercial properties.
How do I know my keys will be secure?
Our motto is ‘trust is earned’, and we firmly believe this is the case in holding your keys. With secure encrypted software we manage the movement of your keys. All keys are alpha-numerically tagged and stored in a KeySafe with no reference to any property on any key.
Who are your staff?
Surety Keyholding Limited is a 100% family business and as such any one of us can be contacted by yourself 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and all are SIA license trained.
What insurance do you have?
Surety Keyholding has substantial Public Liability Insurance.
How can I use your services?
We will make an appointment in order to complete a survey of your property and meet yourselves. Whilst undertaking the survey, we would also gain knowledge of the alarm system, discuss contracts and the handover of the keys. This is required before we can provide any services. At this stage we will also take payment either by BACS or cheque. This procedure protects both you and us.
What happens if I want my keys back?
You can request your keys back at any time in writing and we can then either deliver or post them to you.
Can you guarantee to respond in a set time period?
Unfortunately we cannot guarantee this due to the service being shared and with increasing traffic congestion. We can guarantee to attend immediately and leave your building secure on exit.
How long is the contract?
The normal period of contract is twelve months but we can arrange short-term contracts as necessary.
Can we arrange emergency repairs; such as boarding up if it is necessary following alarm activation?
Yes, if necessary, we will secure your property using our vetted, reliable staff. As per our guarantee we will not leave your property insecure or unalarmed.
Which areas do we cover?
