Secure fund for hospice

A family-run security company has given a donation to East Cheshire Hospice as part of a series of cash gifts. Surety Keyholding has handed over £336 to the charity to add to the £221 given last summer.

Mark Dawson, of Gawsworth, Macclesfield, and John Hall of Poynton, run the keyholding company which is based in Cheadle but has an office in Macclesfield too. They are giving 10 percent of customers' first annual fees to the charity.

Mark said: "We are delighted to have been able to support East Cheshire Hospice since last year. It's been difficult choosing a charity to donate to but we chose the hospice as they receive less than 23% of their annual costs from government and have to fundraise almost £6,000 every day to make ends meet."
